Two-speed Three Phase Brake Motors With High-Torque Brake – Series EDCMotek's two-speed three phase brake motors Series EDC
with high torque positioning brake enable users to vary the motor speed to best meet the needs of their application and allow the precise stopping and holding of the position when no voltage is applied. They are designed for positioning applications and do not require any special maintenance, except for reinstating the air gap when needed. The pole switching motor series, featuring Dahlander connection and a single winding, is available with a 1:2 speed ratio and direct starting from a single voltage supply. The motor series with separate windings is available with a speed ratio different from 1:2. The braking torque – non adjustable – corresponds to the pressure of springs on a double friction surface disc. To release the brake, feed the electromagnet coil via a rectifier separately from the motor.
A hand release lever is available on request.
