Three Phase Brake Motors With High-Torque Brake – Series ETCMotek's three phase brake motors Series ETC with high-torque positioning brake
allow a precise stopping and holding of the position when no voltage is applied. They are designed for positioning applications and do not require any special maintenance, except for reinstating the air gap when needed. The braking torque – non adjustable – corresponds to the pressure of springs which, when no voltage is applied, keep the brake disc in contact with the internal surface of the cast iron fan. To release the brake, feed the electromagnet coil via a rectifier.
