Seimec Single Phase Brake Motors – Series HPMVSEIMEC single phase square type brake motors Series HPMV with gradual brake are optimal in applications which require gradual and silent load stopping without any particular need for precision.
They are designed to both ensure user's safety and prevent damage to machine parts.
With respect to IEC construction, the compact frame shape provides for a larger work envelope and better machining precision of tools, if used. The capacitor fitted into the terminal box ensures high performance and rigidity and noise levels reduced to a minimum. The extended bearings and output shaft provide for rigidity and reliability. The IM B34 construction shape is suitable for both foot and flange mounting.
Flanges can also be used for mounting protections or casings. These motors are ideal for operating low inertia loads as well as for ventilation. The braking torque – non adjustable – corresponds to the pressure of springs which, when no voltage is applied, keep the brake disc in contact with the internal surface of the cast iron fan. To release the disc, feed the electromagnet via a rectifier. If necessary, the air gap adjustment screw can be reached without removing the fan cover.
